First time water propagating, I’m just under a week in and the nodes feel a little slimy, should I just wash them when I change the water?

Was worried this was a sign of rot or something.

Just bought a Mazda CX-5 and previous owner smoked in the car, anyone have tips on getting rid of the smell.

Going to try a car fogger first and see the results.
