I just beat Tales of Vesperia

That was such a fun experience! I beat the definitive edition, and just learned a couple days ago that it's a lot different than the XBOX 360 version, so I will probably be pulling that out at some point to see what the differences are. It's gonna be weird not playing with Patty and Flynn though.

Honestly, I had a REALLY hard time disagreeing with what Duke was saying at the end there. I didn't agree with his solution... but there was an aer (heh) of truth to his words.

I think Yuri has forever solidified himself as my favorite protag, though. I have ALWAYS wanted a protag to just go ahead and take the actions he took against Ragou and Cumore. I felt like Flynn was incredibly idealistic in the face of their actions. (I'm trying to keep this as spoiler-less as possible cause I dunno how to censor lol... I tagged it but we'll see)

Started off really hating Rita, she grew on me a lot by the end. Raven was BY FAR my favorite character in the entire game, and I was absolutely sobbing and nearly put the game down at a certain part. Felt like I'd made some sort of mistake like in Tales of Symphonia (if you know, you know 😭)

I loved Judith, Duke, and Alexei's designs, they were all three very pretty. Meanwhile I didn't find a single monster design that I genuinely liked, unlike when I played Symphonia. They all felt a liiiiittle too over-designed for my tastes.

Zagi was the only part that was reeeeally jarring. I wish they had explained more about him and his motives. He reminded me a teeny tiny bit of Dilandau Albatou from Escaflowne.

Overall, Vesperia was a really awesome game, and I'm looking forward to playing through the XBOX version to see the differences... buuuuutttt for now I'm gonna probably move on to either Graces F, Xillia 1, or one of the 2D games.
