I made a post about this earlier but forgot to attach the clip. Where should I be aiming in this scenario to get a citadel hit? I know there is an element of rng involved but I feel like I should have easily killed this guy but I obviously did something wrong.
This is gonna seem like an incredibly stupid question for someone who has as many hours as I do but why am I not hitting citadels against US BB’s at 7KM - 4 KM range when I am at the water line? I’m new to BB’s and have been doing the Italian line (very fun) but every time I think I’ve got a US BB where i want them (California, NM, Colorado, NC) I’ll get like 2 pens and 2 over pens and no citadel when aiming at the water line full broadside. Should I be aiming higher? I’ve checked their armor layouts and am confused as to what I am doing wrong.
I’ve mainly played cruisers for the entirety of my 300ish hours on wows but I’m starting to get into the BB’s now and have been really enjoying them. My only big problem is where should I be aiming when shooting at a bow in BB within 8 KM. I know about angling for ricochets and shooting at the super structure or deck but at that range or closer can I assume I overmatch and just shoot the nose plating? I know some of this comes down to ship/shell size specifics but I usually just go with the guess and check system which doesn’t work as well when you have a 25-30 second long reload😂. (For context let’s go with tiers 5 - 8)
