First Time at Le Mans - Tips for Sunday Test Day Only?
Hi all, I’m visiting Paris from Australia with enough time to do a solo day trip to Le Mans for the Sunday Test Day (and maybe even the City Parade the day prior). It’ll be my first time attending Le Mans and most of the advice I’ve found here is focused on race weekend itself rather than the quieter Test Day, so I’d really appreciate some guidance from people who are familiar.
I’ve got the on-track schedule for Test Day, but I haven’t been able to find a spectator/visitor map yet. I’m happy to do a lot of walking and would love advice on:
- Which spectator areas are “must visit” during Test Day
- The best spots to experience different parts of the circuit (Tertre Rouge, Porsche Curves, Arnage, etc.)
- Which areas are realistically walkable in one day
- Whether the fan zones, manufacturers village, merch areas or other off-track activities are open/active on Test Day
- Tips for getting around the circuit efficiently
- Any “don’t miss” available on the Test Day
Since I only have the one day there, I’m trying to plan how to make the absolute most of it. Any first-timer advice would be hugely appreciated. Cheers!
