Those of you doing 4 pumps a day, what does your schedule look like?
TW: Sorry, I don't know how to add more than one tag, but this post mentions oversupply.
I am currently doing 5 pumps a day with one MONP, having dropped from 6/7 pumps a day a few weeks back. I am thankful to have built up an oversupply, having originally been an undersupplier, to a just enougher, to a large oversupply, but I now need to decrease my milk as my baby is eating less than I produce and I unfortunately can't donate it due to medication I am on (safe for my baby but the hospital won't take it). I currently make 1200-1300ml a day, having dropped from 1500ml+ a day.
I am looking to do 4 pumps a day so produce around 1050 or so, which is now the max baby is drinking - having previously often guzzled down 1200ml. He seems settled this past week or so on around 950ml. We will start solids next month too.
My current schedule is 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7-8pm and somewhere around 12-2.30am, depending on when I am naturally waking/baby wakes. My baby *kind of* sleeps all night, but dream feeds a lot so I tend to put him to bed around 7ish, have dinner whilst doing my last pump then head to bed myself so that I get vaguely enough sleep to function. I am not sure going 11-12 hours without a pump is a good idea! What have others found? My MONP is my best output so perhaps spacing out 4 is better 🤔
Any scheduling advice is much appreciated :) it would be nice to have some of my life back! A girl can dream.
P.s. I exclusively use wearables and have done since around week 4-5 (having seen the same output as the medela symphony). Anything to make life easier on the EP journey!
