I know this thread could go very badly but I hope it won't. In our fallen political culture I ask in good faith.

I'm throwing a broad net. What are your favorite campgrounds, cabins, hotels, or Airbnbs in our state?

Two I would recommend:

The full-service cabins in Metigoshe state park, in the winter. The chalets are cozy, and the trails are groomed. So quiet and beautiful.

The cabins on Graham Island are tiny but the yards are big. The island is a very strange place. The beaches have giant tree skeletons and pieces marble and granite are mixed in with the sand. I've seen so many tiger swallowtails there.

I know part of the experience of the ultrascreen is the intensity of surround sound but it is too damn loud at West Acres. I have been to 4 movies there since the beginning of the year and each one has been so loud it is unpleasant. It blows out the dialog and makes it hard to understand, and that's if the music isn't drowning it out. The Odyssey was so loud it was physically painful at some points.

Edit: adding that I do not think the ultrasceen at Century is too loud. It is very loud, but not cover your ears loud.

There's also a bill that would make Standard time year round instead.

I would like to get rid of seasonal time changes but I don't really care if it's DST or Standard because we'll still be in the dark either way.

The marathon can trap you. Stay inside the path or plan your escape.

Trump doesn't accomplish anything unless he is betraying allies. He'd rather have a high tech bunker than a couple thousand volatile assholes.

It's dense with a lot of characters. The planetary setting is radical and the culture is wild. I really enjoyed it.
