What is this game?

The Dragon’s Hunt is a Live-Action Roleplaying Game set in the world of Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire. Following an alternate series of events, King Rhaegar Targaryen has taken the throne and the banners of Rebellion have not yet been raised.

Players take on the roles of characters from across the Seven Kingdoms invited to formally celebrate the recent coronation and royal wedding. Each will receive a personally written brief that explains their personal situation and political agenda. These briefs are not scripts, but encouragement and suggestions for making the most out of their story.

Who is this game for?

LARPers who enjoy high drama, plotting and complicated interpersonal relationships. This is a dive into the political setting of Westeros and what it means to live, love and fight as the Lords and Ladies of the Seven Kingdoms.

While the nobility fashion themselves as civilized – everything is a spark away from fire and anyone could be the person to light the match. The future of the world will be decided at the edge of the wilderness.

This is a game about trying to win at all costs – and the glorious consequences of failing. There are years of loyalties and grudges at work to set people at odds. The character briefs are written to encourage everyone to bring those to the foreground and make the risky plays that all makes for a better story. The game is best played when the character wants to win, but the player can’t wait to see what happens when they lose.

Themes: Clashing loyalties, Hierarchy, Family Ties, Soft Power, Monarchy, Religion, Betrayal, Alliance and Rivalry, Negotiation and Scheming.

Game Style: Film-sim style with political drama, and optional theatrical style combat with LARP safe weapons.

This is an unofficial fan event, not connected with HBO’s Game of Thrones series, but inspired by the aesthetics created by the design teams.

North America Run of 'The Dragon's Hunt' Summer 2027- Greater Seattle Area

Hi folks, I'm currently gathering interest for a North American run of The Dragons Hunt, a LARP by Ren Stuart and Feast Your Eyes, ran with permission by Maeday LARP in the Greater Seattle Area.

We have reached minimum interest for planning to proceed for the Summer of 2027 in the greater Seattle area, but expressions of interest are still helpful in this planning phase.

The Dragons Hunt is an A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) inspired LARP set in an alternate Westeros on the brink of Robert’s Rebellion. This game is for those who enjoy high-drama and interpersonal relationship development. Players will receive comprehensive character sheets, and this game is suited for LARPers of all experience levels.

You can express interest and learn more at this website: https://maedaylarp.online/

This will be an 18+ game, and interested folks who opt into emails via the interest form will be contacted when we hit the next phase of planning to inform date and venue selection.

Seattle Artist Henry is Auctioning Off a Jimothy Painting and the money will go to Ballard Food Bank

Henry's Post About Auction (How to Bid)

I've linked his post directly that has more info on how to bid for the painting. I wanted to give it a little more of a boost since it's supporting a fantastic cause in Jimothy's neighborhood.

Around the time that this video style was trending I got casted to play Ashara Dayne at an ASOIAF inspired LARP that took place in an alternate timeline around the time of Roberts Rebellion. I thought this trend fit Ashara perfectly as a character that we only really hear about through others memories of her in the story.

Well, the LARP is finally past and I finally had all the kit complete so I managed to film this video concept that's been knocking around my head for the last few months.

I wanted to not fully cover her face in every shot, as a creative device for showing the different ways various characters remember her, and the pieces of her that remain in memory.

The costume was made by me, as well as the letter box with the Dayne heraldry on it.
