AITAH for not viewing it the way he does?

So my friend has pointed out that when he helps people with stuff that you should be basing how much it matters by how long it takes vs how many times. There's been times where he's bee asked to for help. He said yes, and then acts like people owe him for that time and that they need to make up for that time and do something just as long. I feel like you should be thinking about how many times the other person helps you not how long it took to help them.No matter how long it took the point is that they help you when you needed it. I feel like if everyone based it off how long something took and no one would ever appreciate people helping them cause there'd always be a timer barrier determining if their help was paid off. Tell me some of your views. I'm generally curious.
