[Opinion] Should i watch things to do videos before playing a game.

I just picked up Mina the Hollower and I'm super hyped to dive in, it looks like an absolute blast. But of course, the second I opened YouTube, my feed was instantly flooded with the usual "Things to Do First!", "Don't Miss This Weapon!", and "Tips I Wish I Knew" videos.

This seems to happen literally every time a new game drops, and it always puts me in a weird spot. On one hand, I love the magic of a completely blind playthrough and discovering secrets myself. On the other hand, I always have this nagging FOMO that I’m going to miss a crucial quality-of-life feature or pick a weapon/stat that accidentally ruins my early-game pacing.

Where do you guys stand on this? Do you watch these guides to optimize your start, or do you block them out entirely to keep the experience fresh?
