Looking for an actual career

As the title says I’m looking for a change in employment and I want to find something that could be an actual career and not just a job.

I’m 26 and I’ve considered working in the death industry since middle school but it’s never been something the felt realistic for me until recently.

I have my high school diploma and went to college for a few years with a couple different majors before COVID before I dropped out and started working full time. I’ve worked mainly in customer service positions since I was 16 including a stent as an admin assistant / treatment supervisor at a psychiatric clinic.
I’m not afraid of public speaking or talking to people who are very emotional and I generally have a very welcoming presence which I think would benefit me in the funeral industry.

I guess my question is with my work/education background is it realistic to think about a career in funeral services?
I’ve seen a few sales jobs listed at funeral homes in my area but didn’t know if I would be too out of my depth applying for something like that.

Thanks in advance and sorry for formatting I’m on mobile!
