Rant:
Facebook is far from what it used to be, we know that.

I can’t help but notice there’s been recent updates to the UI that show you the number of views your post got, the “top reach” number of the week, along with graph charts and traffic data.

Why should I care about the data?

I don’t want any of this shit on my Facebook. It’s bad enough that one can be addicted to how many “Likes” one gets (aside from the money prospect, which is also included now too on your posts, like how much money you get).

It makes me think the designers and company/Meta are thinking, “How can we get this user more hooked to constantly using our app/website?”

Honestly, Reddit was the first I saw to start similar data designs for posts (# of views), not to mention the streak count for each day you open Reddit. Facebook is now catching up.

Do you think it’s to keep us addicted, too?
