Looking for people who understand

I have known about the concept of parental alienation for a long time. I found the term as an adult after go through it as a child of divorce.

However, I became a stepmother to a young child. And for many years we had a great relationship. I pour so much love and energy into that child. But over the past few years it has turned. I was experiencing so much anger towards them and I didn’t really understand.

Now I know what I am experiencing is grief for the child/connection I used to have. The child is now a stranger. And I don’t know what to do.
