I got Molaktula'd

Experimental branch, thought it would be cool to see what the developers have done to the Tula, was greeted with a forced defeat, lol. Karl knows where that last fragment was (I've searched the caves outside of the arena too), but I definitely do not.

Can someone explain to me how the new "counter attacks" work?

In my last game we've once got Molactula to shelter in invulnerability frames for a total of about 15 seconds, going invincible right after the first couple of shots post being vulnerable again. The fight, despite being easy, felt like hell of a slog, especially compared to the experience prior to the addition of counter attacks. And in one of the previous games, I've had ramok do a ram counter that immediately transitioned into the hurricane attack once.

And all of that was combined with the fact that I couldn't stun the bosses (Ramok and Molactually) for about 90% of the time, since they cannot be stunned mid-attack (except for Gootorak), as a Guardian, so my abilities would've felt useless against them if it wasn't for the "+20% DMG after using the ability" boosters.

Slight side note, or whatever, but Gootorak's counter attacks are the only ones that felt both "right" and fair to play against. I don't remember him spamming the "I'm invincible" bubble as much as Molactula did, and the ranged counter attack adds a feeling of oppression from the boss once it starts throwing everything at you.

Is there no counter-counterattacks to this? Or is the only winning move is not to play and let the boss "cool off" a bit, before opening another dwarven attack with a stun ability and a lightning-fast maneuver of throwing everything and a Clamorhead at it? Because if so, it kinda just feels like it would require a couple of months for people to be more communicative about it and to learn it.
