Hey everyone, I’m currently in college and I keep seeing people getting internships in 1st or 2nd year itself, so I’m genuinely curious how you guys did it.

Like, where did you even find these internships? What did your profile look like back then?

Did you have projects, certifications, DSA, open source, a strong GitHub, hackathons, referrals, or something else? Also, what skills actually mattered and helped you get shortlisted?

Basically, if someone in early college wants to prepare for internships, what should they focus on and what mistakes should they avoid?

Would love to hear real experiences and practical advice. Thanks!
