Layout help for 14’2 x 18’2 Living/Dining area
Hi everyone, I'd appreciate any ideas for furnishing and laying out my new apartment.
It's a 1 bed + den, 1 bath, about 856 sq. ft. I'll be living there half the time with my 8-year-old daughter, and I'd like it to feel comfortable, functional, and relaxing for both of us.
I won't have a TV, but I will have an iMac for work and streaming. I'd love a setup where I can work while my daughter does homework, draws, or just hangs out nearby. We probably won't need a dining table since we'll mostly eat at the counter or on the sofa.
I'd also like to make good use of the natural light and balcony. My goal is to create a space that's good for working, reading, board games, conversation, and relaxing. I tend to like a Scandinavian/coastal vibe, but I'm open to ideas.
I only have the floor plan right now, so I'd love to hear what you'd do with the layout. Thanks in advance!
