Wrist size: 17.5cm (7 inches for my Americans). I’ve narrowed down my choices to the Tissot Ballade Quartz 40mm. The 40mm seems to look big, while the 34mm runs too small. Is it just me or is the 40mm alright on my wrist?

ALSO, is it normal for the seconds-hand to not land directly over the second lines along the edges?
