Educating Lancashire

Do people think that Channel 4 should do a programme called Educating Lancashire following the success of Educating Yorkshire, Educating Greater Manchester and the rest?

I think it would be brilliant if producers of channel 4 decided to do this because it would put Lancashire on the spotlight in my personal opinion.

Burnley Sainsbury's car park knife robbery

Anyone heard about the Car park robbery at the Sainsbury's in Burnley on Monday 3rd August 2026 where a guy armed with a knife threatened people before stealing a car?

Apparently Detectives believe that the suspect could have fled to Rochdale or Todmorden and are now working together alongside West Yorkshire Police and Greater Manchester Police to find the vehicle and suspect.

Burnley, Padiham or Hapton

I like to ask people if they had a choice where they would move between Burnley, Padiham or Hapton?

I would move to Hapton myself because it is a beautiful village in the Burnley area especially having a train station as well and not far from both Accrington and Burnley especially on the M1 bus.

Shadsworth Blackburn documentary

Does anyone remember that documentary that aired on BBC one in September 2012 that followed residents of the Shadsworth estate in Blackburn that was on panorama?

It's funny really because it is going to be 14 years anniversary in September 2026 since it aired on TV.

I am interested to know especially from people who come from Blackburn if that documentary made Shadsworth look good or bad by the BBC or was it honest about the issues facing Shadsworth estate?

Burnley chat - Small minded mindset

Anyone heard about Burnley chat on Facebook which is a forum page?

I joined it 2 weeks ago and one thing I have noticed is certain people seem to have a issue when I have been asking questions like being rude for no reason.

Does Burnley have a issue with having a small minded mindset compared to other places in Britain?
