Went for a solo paddle in Estonia and managed to swim twice 😅

Video: https://youtu.be/WhcE3TAVVu4

Went for a solo paddle on the Võhandu River here in Estonia, from Leevi to Süvahavva.

Water was surprisingly high for summer, so the rapids were quite different from what I'm used to during the world largest Võhandu Marathon in April. Managed to flip at Lilli and then again at Viira 😅 At least the water was warm.

Apart from the swimming, this is probably one of my favourite sections of the river. Lots of sandstone cliffs, forest and some really nice rapids.

I filmed the whole trip if anyone wants to see it. Would also be interested to hear if anyone here has paddled Võhandu before.

I filmed one of Estonia’s most beautiful XC MTB races – Elva MTB 2026 🇪🇪

Hi everyone!

Video: https://youtu.be/2WkJEv61K6c?is=xjVdd13UjA0IQ-VD

I wanted to share a video from the Elva MTB race in Estonia.
The course has fast forest trails, wooden bridges, small water crossings and lots of fun singletrack.
I started making MTB videos a few months ago to show riding in Estonia to people around the world. I hope you enjoy the ride!
I’d also love to hear what you think about the course.

They changed our entire sea marathon course because of a storm warning. This is what happened.

We recently took part in the Abruka Sea Marathon in Estonia, paddling a 6.4 m tandem sea kayak.

Three days before the race, the organizers changed the entire course because of a storm warning. Instead of the original route around Abruka Island, around 70 kayaks were sent onto a 24 km backup course with more protection from the weather.

“More protection” turned out to be a very relative term. 😅

We had strong winds, rough open water, several capsizes around us, ridiculously shallow sections where the water was only 20–30 cm deep, and a few moments where we were convinced we were about to flip ourselves.

The strangest part was knowing that after surviving the roughest section near Nasva Harbour, we had to come back through exactly the same place later — with the weather forecast to get worse.

We finished the 24 km in about 3h 10min, completely exhausted but still upright.

I filmed the whole experience and turned it into an 18-minute video. If anyone here enjoys sea kayaking or endurance paddling, I’d love to hear what you think.

Would you have started the race after seeing the forecast, or called it a day? 😅🌊

3,000 paddlers. 100 km. 24 hours. The world's largest paddling marathon.

I recently completed the Võhandu Marathon in Estonia – the largest paddling marathon in the world.

More than 3,000 paddlers and up to 1,500 boats take part every year. The challenge covers 100 km (62 miles) and participants have 24 hours to finish.

This year's race was especially tough due to low water levels. There were countless rocks, rapids, portages, and a lot of damaged boats by the end of the event.

I put together a video showing what the experience is really like, from the massive start on Lake Tamula to the famous Viira rapid and the final kilometers to the finish.

What's the largest paddling event you've ever participated in?

🚣‍♂️ Is this Estonia's most beautiful river?

Last weekend I paddled 26 km during the Põltsamaa River Marathon in Estonia. The water level was unusually low, but the scenery was absolutely stunning – clear water, overhanging trees, birds everywhere and a real feeling of wilderness.

I put together a video from the trip and would love to hear what other paddlers think.

What is the most beautiful river you've ever paddled?
