My phone battery died. How to keep SIM card alive
I am traveling away from home (Spain) and my iPhone battery died 2 months ago. I was going to buy a battery but instead I bought a new iPhone because it was so much cheaper in the USA than in Spain. Someone told me to keep the old dead phone plugged in at all times which I’ve tried to do although there have been some lapses due to travel. The SIM card is real in the old phone but I think my Spanish carrier will be able to change it to an eSIM, which the new phone requires. But Im very anxious about whether there will be a problem and I’ll lose my Spanish phone number, etc.
I hope I’ve been paying my Spanish phone account. I just tried to check but the site was down. I fear my account and phone are linked to a dead phone and can Movistar,my provider have canceled my account? Im going home tomorrow and full of anxiety about this.
