Jabra Evolve 75 UC Wireless Headset - Design flaw and terrible support
Spent $350 on Jabra Evolve 75 UC 2 years ago. Worked well, until it didn't. The boom mic stopped working altogether.
It appears to be a well documented design flaw. There are many online reports from other customers describing the same failure caused by repeated movement of the boom arm, which eventually frays the internal wiring.
Admittedly, my headset is a few months outside the two year warranty. However, this is not simply a warranty issue. When a product has a known design defect, customers should not be expected to bear the cost of that defect simply because it manifests after the warranty expires. Jabra should either proactively address this issue through a product recall or service program, or at the very least, replace headsets that fail due to this known design problem.
When I contacted Jabra for support, they promised to review my case and get back to me, but after 2.5 weeks, 4 phone calls, and 4 emails, I have not received a response despite multiple promises that I will receive some kind of communication.
I'm done waiting for Jabra. I need a replacement for work now. Will not buy Jabra again.
