we are planning to head down to madurai as a family during late sept. firstly, we arent sure on where exactly to stay but safety as its mostly females and cleanliness is definitely a priority. i’ve heard of sabarees hotel but its kind of expensive on trip and booking.com(close to 4000 rupees). secondly, we arent sure on the itinerary but we do have relatives in vempathur so we plan to visit vempathur, the iconic temples of madurai and do some shopping but hopefully we dont get scammed.hence, would appreciate any suggestions or tips as its our first time travelling to madurai and pls advice on scams also. btw this trip we planned is around 8 days long.
