Missing my Madurai 😔
I never thought I'd miss my hometown this much until I started working in a big city.
Every day here feels the same—endless traffic, rushed mornings, crowded roads, and people moving like robots from one place to another. Everyone seems busy, but no one really has time for anyone else. Even the food, despite having countless options, somehow feels empty. I miss meals that actually tasted like home.
What I miss the most isn't just the place—it's the feeling. Back home, people smile at strangers, neighbors check in on each other, and every festival, evening walk, or cup of tea feels like a shared experience. There's life, warmth, and a sense of belonging that's hard to find here.
Living in the city has given me opportunities, but it has also made me realize that not everything valuable can be measured by salary or career growth. Sometimes, peace is hearing familiar voices, eating food made with love, and being surrounded by people who genuinely welcome you.
Maybe this is what growing up feels like—chasing dreams while quietly missing the place that made you who you are.
