I was traveling from Chennai and I had to take another bus to reach my home town from Mattuthavani. But I don't have any cash in my hand (my fault) only Gpay, I asked some shop owners, ofc they refused but 1 Shop owner suggested to meet a mobile phone shop owner beside his store, and I asked him for an exchange from Gpay to cash but, he's charging ₹20 for ₹100 exchange and ₹30 for ₹200 , i have no other option to pay him that money 🙁. Even ₹10,000 online transactions cost only ₹9 .They're doing it as a business, how people earn by using emergencies of others! I recommend not to come here without at least ₹200 in cash.

I just can't trust any briyani from any of the hotels in Madurai. Ordered from Ambur last week, the rice was overly cooked and not at all upto standards (what is there in Chennai, bglr etc). Last i ordered from Salem RR,had the same experience. Madurai hotel operators are just too casual tbh

Drove through the main road for the first time here. How tf do y'all commute everyday in the fuckass two lane road with thousands of craters, puddles, and share autos who won't stop honking even while standing in the signal?? It's even worse at night with no lights. And that railway bridge that looks like it's about to collapse any time. And there's no signal in the south marret street junction...and the paatis selling fruits literally on the edge of a lane encroaching it...romba kashtam pa.
