A stranger commented my exact location on my Instagram post while I was standing there. Has this happened to anyone else?

So this happened recently and I still can't stop thinking about it.

I was at the station waiting for my train back from college, minding my own business, when I got a random Instagram notification. Some guy had commented on a post I'd made a month ago — and the comment said something along the lines of "You are standing at — station, in the First Ladies compartment."

I froze. Because I was literally standing exactly there.

I didn't know this guy at all. He was just sitting in my follower list. I started looking over my shoulder but the station was packed and honestly, how do you spot someone you've never even seen before? Eventually my train came and I just got out of there.

When I got home I opened my DMs and he had sent me a bunch of weird chat requests. I checked his profile and saw we had a mutual — a friend from school. I texted her immediately and she told me he had messaged her too, with comments like "I've seen you at this place" type stuff.

I shared all this with my bsf she told me I am actively getting stalked. My Instagram is barely a year old and I only have two posts. This guy was matching me from my pictures in real life. Just two photos was enough for him to recognize me in a crowded station .

I told my brother and sister. My brother commented back tagging the guy and warned him about stalking charges. I reported and blocked him.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? How did you handle it?
