Ive been getting Mounjaro through MyBMI for the past few months, but I’m considering asking my GP in Ireland to prescribe it so that I can have the prescription dispensed at a pharmacy in Northern Ireland.

Has anyone done this successfully?

I’m particularly interested in knowing what information needs to be included on the prescription for a Northern Irish pharmacy to accept it, for example, does it need to specify Mounjaro/tirzepatide, the strength, dose, quantity, etc.?

I’d also like to know what evidence people have provided to their GP to show that they have already been taking Mounjaro for a number of months through an online provider. Would order history, invoices, previous prescriptions, treatment records or a letter from MyBMI normally be sufficient?

I’m obviously going to discuss it properly with my GP and check with the pharmacy beforehand, but I’d be interested to hear from anyone in Ireland who has actually gone through this process and what documentation they needed.

Just wondering what’s involved, whether anyone has been prescribed Mounjaro through it, and what the costs are for consultations/medication.

I’m looking for a bit of advice from people who are training for a marathon, or doing endurance training while on Mounjaro.

I’m currently 215 lb and taking Mounjaro. I’ve signed up for the Dublin Marathon, which is about 13 weeks away, and I’m trying to be sensible with my nutrition as the training ramps up.

For runs longer than an hour, I’m currently taking gels for fuelling.

I’d really appreciate advice on:

What are people eating daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner while training, especially when fuelling long runs of 16 km or more?

I’m not looking for medical advice, just interested in what has worked for others and what I should be looking out for.

I’m considering buying an 8 m × 5 m insulated steel garage from Shanette Sheds. I plan to divide it into two sections: a dry-storage area and a home office.

The unit will be in Dublin, and I’ll be working from it every day. I intend to add extra insulation to the office section and use an electric heater during the colder months.

Has anyone done something similar? If so, what is it like to work in throughout the year? Does it get very cold in winter or unbearably hot in summer? I’d also be interested to hear about any issues with condensation, ventilation, noise or heating costs.

Any advice or photos of similar conversions would be greatly appreciated.

I’m considering the 6.1m x 3.1m / 20ft x 10ft Standard Garden Shed. I’ve been told it doesn’t require a concrete base, which is appealing, but I’d like to hear real-world experiences before ordering.

It would mainly be used for house tools, kids’ bikes and camping gear, but I’d also like to use part of it as a small gym with a bench, free weights and possibly a multigym.

A few questions for anyone who has one:

How solid is the floor without a concrete base?
Any issues with damp, movement, settling, door alignment or rattling over time?
How secure do you find the shed, especially for bikes/tools?
Would you be comfortable storing gym equipment/free weights in it?
Did you go with blocks/bricks, gravel, slabs or concrete underneath?
Anything you would upgrade or do differently?

I’m currently getting Mounjaro through MyBMI, but I’ve noticed that Meditrue appears to be cheaper, so I’m considering switching provider.

I’m currently on 15mg Mounjaro, ordering every 4 weeks. MyBMI is costing me around €393, while Meditrue looks to be around €363 — although I may need to double-check whether I’m comparing the same dose/package correctly.

Has anyone here moved from MyBMI to Meditrue, or changed Mounjaro providers generally?

A few questions:

• What information did the new provider need from you?
• Did you need proof of your current dose or previous prescription?
• Was the transfer straightforward?
• Do you have to show continuous ordering every 4 weeks?
• If there is a gap of around 7 or 8 weeks between your last order and switching provider, would they require you to restart at a lower dose?
• Has anyone switched while they had already ordered ahead and were still working through existing pens?

I know this will ultimately depend on the provider’s clinical review, but I’d be interested to hear people’s real-world experience of changing provider, especially where there has been a gap between orders.

Any advice or experience would be really appreciated.

Can someone sanity check my maths please?

If I stay with MyBMI and buy a 15 mg pen, it costs €392.49.

If I buy direct from Hilltown Pharmacy in Newry, it’s £299 (about €345).

However:

• I’d need a physical paper prescription from my doctor: €60
• Travel/fuel costs: ~€60

So total direct cost = €345 + €60 + €60 = €465

That means I wouldn’t actually save money unless I buy multiple pens in one trip (roughly 3 or more).

Am I thinking about this correctly, and is it possible to buy multiple pens in one trip?

If I buy three pens, can I pick up the remaining three pens before the prescription ends?

Can anyone who has recently ordered a 12.5 mg of Mounjaro from MyBmi provide the expiry date please

I have been stocking up on Mounjaro, and due to this, some of the pens may be approaching expiring / may go expired when I go to use them

Has anyone here used Mounjaro beyond its expiry / effective date, and what was your experience?

I’m curious about real-world experiences rather than official guidance. Did it still seem effective? Any noticeable difference in appetite suppression, side effects, or results?

Also interested whether it was unopened or already in use, and how far past the date it was.

Has anyone here used an open Mounjaro pen for an extended period while microdosing?

I currently have a 10mg pen and was considering using 2.5mg doses, which in theory would give me around 16 weeks from one pen.

Just wondering if anyone has done something similar and how long you used an opened pen for? Any issues with effectiveness, storage, or using it over that length of time?
