Issue with audio not being recognized to create auto transcript
I’m trying to transcribe a sequence, but Premiere keeps saying “No dialogue found” even though the clip clearly has spoken audio.
- Audio meters are active and levels are normal
- Clip is not muted and is on the timeline (A1)
- I’m using Transcribe Sequence (not static transcript)
- Tried tagging audio as Dialogue + different settings
- Reinstalled Premiere and cleared cache
- Still happening across multiple projects
Footage is a .MOV file, audio plays fine — it just won’t generate a transcript.
Has anyone run into this or know a fix? I had this same issue with a long form video that I was editing, and ended up just exporting out a .wav file and having some random site create an .srt file for me that I imported in. Obviously not ideal to do that every single time...
