What is up with Emerald ? (EUW)
I took a four year long break and returned to ranked, it’s been very fun as a washed up Masters player to relearn the game and get shit on by platinums (oh man they are way better than when I last played). It’s been a really good and humbling experience thus far.
I hit Emerald last week and I don’t know why but I feel like the skill quality has plummeted.
I am not being salty and it’s not that I’m stuck, I just feel convinced that most platinum players are better than the Emerald players I’ve seen, and wanted to ask if it’s a real thing or my imagination.
Even in high emerald. The macro is awful, the attitudes are obnoxious and I see comps full of resource hogging carries every other game.
Games are full of autopiloting, high ego players and there’s a lot of incredibly unstable people. I’ve honestly been feeling really concerned at the behaviour of some these players. Sometimes I add them and just try to hear them out, it’s not worth it.
I have no idea if I’m just unlucky with the matches but honestly I can’t wait to get out of this rank. It’s not that it’s hard but I can’t say that it’s enjoyable.
Rank really doesn’t mean anything. Mechanics can only get you so far. If you’re stuck in these ranks I can say that simply watching the map, having a good attitude and dodging helps a lot.
