It’s been a while since I first posted about my Korean learning app ‘Bearball’ here. I would really like to thank our Chingus who've been studying with Bearball since day one. Seeing you log in every day was exactly what kept Kevvie and our team going!

We’ve been working on our version 2.0 update to make our app much smoother and more effective.

✅ For our future new Chingus: ‘Bearball: Learn Korean’ is an app for learning Korean vocabs in actual sentences.

I’m currently developing this app while working on my Ph.D at Graduate School of International Studies in Seoul National University! My major is Korean Studies.

>The core philosophy of our app is going back to the basics. You learn words by speaking and writing them in context. We’ve managed to include practice questions covering TOPIK vocabulary words. (We plan to include all TOPIK words for every level by the end of June.)

>You won’t find any awkward, textbook only ‘-ㅂ니다’ sentences in our app. We made sure every single practice sentence is something you would actually hear and use in a real-life conversation in Korea.

Here’s a quick intro to our new 2.0 Bearball.

- Unlimited learning : We removed the daily cap on learning items. You can now solve as many questions as you want, all day long, completely free.

- A completely new UI : We rebuilt the entire interface with a bright blue theme and game-like elements to keep things fun and cute.

- Mini-arcade (Beta): We’ve built a small arcade section so you can actually have fun while reviewing what you’ve learned. It’s in beta, so let me know your ideas! We’re also working on more interactive, personalized features.

- Kevvie, your livelier study buddy: Our Korean goblin, Kevvie the Dokkaebi has become a lot more expressive. You’ll find Kevvie doing lots of new animations while you study.

This is our first big update, so there might be some minor bugs. Please let me know if you spot anything or have suggestions. I appreciate every single piece of feedback and I’ll make sure to get things fixed ASAP so nothing interrupts your journey. Thank you, Chingus💙
