Like all developers who survived and finally released their game, I still can’t believe it - more than four years are behind me. My 2D metroidvania, where the entire game world is one big puzzle, has finally been released.
After such a long development journey, it’s hard to believe this moment has finally arrived.
The game was originally planned as a small old-school metroidvania, but over time the project grew into something much bigger. Throughout all these years, the entire development was handled by one person: programming, design, music, testing, and building the game world.
Quest of Dungeloria is an adventure focused on exploration, secrets, and the atmosphere of classic games, where players are expected to study the world themselves and search for their own solutions. The story follows the floating city of Dungeloria, which was taken over by mages who trapped its inhabitants in endless pleasures to maintain their own power.
A special part of the project’s soul is its soundtrack, which was also handcrafted during development.
