To polish or not to polish?

Just picked up this Tudor royal for my brother's graduation, and to kick off his watch collection. It's a used 2024, with some light scuffing. I am generally against polishing, but since this is a gift to a younger person should I polish it for him so he can get that new look and feel? Thoughts?

Edit: for clarity, when I said "should I polish it" I did not mean that I would polish it myself but have a professional polish it. Thank you for your advice thus far.
