I want to start studying cybersecurity.

What advice would you give to someone with virtually no or minimal knowledge? Where should I start, what should I read and study? Should I start learning Rust for these purposes?

Why would you recommend moving into the field of cybersecurity?

Yes, I know it's a bit unsuitable for CodingForBeginners, but I'll give it a try anyway. What kind of literature and materials to study would you recommend for a person with minimal experience? In which direction is it better to move, is it worth starting to study Rust for these purposes? I will be grateful for any answer.

What can you say about the Python Programming MOOC 2026 as a first learning resource?

I stumbled upon this course and got interested. Are there perhaps better alternatives, or is this one sufficient?

I want to start learning Rust as my first language.

Good day, everyone. To be perfectly honest, when it comes to programming, I am a complete beginner—an absolute zero. I don't know the basics of Python, C, or any other languages; however, there is one thing I am quite passionate about: optimization. I would like to start learning this specific language as my first one, even though many of you might advise me to start with something simpler. Could you recommend any learning materials (preferably in Russian, if available) or interactive tools where I can learn from scratch? It may be challenging, but I imagine it will be fascinating. Thank you for every response.

What do you think about messengers?

I venture to assume that you’ll want to say something about privacy in Telegram or WhatsApp; however, beyond that, I’d also be interested to know what specifically annoys *you* about them. What would you remove, and what would you add? I’d be grateful for your feedback.

What do you feel is missing from modern messengers?

It feels like every messenger app nowadays is becoming heavier, slower, and filled with features that most of us never use. I’m curious to hear what you guys think: what is the one thing in apps like Telegram, WhatsApp, or Signal that irritates you the most? If you could strip a messenger down to the essentials, what would stay and what would go? Just curious to see if I’m the only one who feels like they’re becoming too bloated.
