My new school district is requiring everyone who's not ESL certified to get certified. Im so busy being a first year kindergarten teacher that I dont know when ill even have time to study for it. How hard is the test? Also why are they requiring it? 😭😭
Teaching kindergarten for the first time, second year teaching all together. These kids are something else. I have some kids that are probably undiagnosed sped (other teachers have mentioned this) and the parents aren't being super helpful. I cried at school Tuesday and Wednesday and kept my tears to myself until after school today. I cant imagine going back on Monday and it breaks my heart. I worked so hard to be a teacher and i just want to help these kids, but I dont know how. Other teachers have told me to use reward systems and I tried stickers but that only works in the morning, then I tried mini m&ms and again that only worked in the morning. I'm exhausted. Send help, thanks.
I went to a job fair on Friday and now I have an interview set up for Tuesday! This was my first year teaching and I taught 3rd-5th; the interview is for a 1st grade position. Any advice? I'm so nervous and excited!
