Polar Loop or patience?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been seriously considering buying the new Polar Loop, but I’m a bit unsure about whether I should buy it now or wait.

The thing is, I really prefer the Polar ecosystem, and I don’t see myself switching to another brand. WHOOP sounds great, and I can definitely see why people like it, but I simply don’t need it enough to justify paying a monthly subscription.

I’ve been reading reviews and watching videos about the Loop. From what I’ve seen, the hardware seems very capable, but many people say that Polar Flow is the weakest part of the experience. Just from reading users’ opinions, the app feels a bit underwhelming compared to WHOOP’s software and the way it presents recovery, stress, and daily insights.

What makes me hesitate is this: should I buy the Loop now and trust that Polar will continue improving the software, or would it be smarter to wait for either a major Polar Flow redesign or even a future generation of the Loop?

I genuinely believe Polar has the hardware to compete. It feels like most of the gap is in the software, and I’d love to see Polar push Flow much closer to the WHOOP experience while keeping the one-time purchase model instead of a subscription.

For those of you who already own the Loop, do you feel optimistic about Polar’s long-term software support? Or do you think what we have today is likely to remain mostly the same?

I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts.
