This one, I feel, is definitely something to get other eyes on. The inspiration for my own fanfiction is "in the Aftermath," and it deals with some possibly heavy topics i dont want to get into cause i dont want to spoil anything. my question is about aging up characters or not aging them up for a fic that might try to explore things of an intimate nature as well as darker topics like violent urges. The intent is to do this tastefully but authentically and without pearl-clutching, but my concern is crossing a line or in setting up a situation where people's knee-jerk reaction is to get upset some of the topics would probly include vampire feeding, siren culture being rather open and fluid about things, and the big one wednesday possibly dealing with violent thoughts and feelings that are outside of the norm for even an addams.. so ultimanty to age up or not.. aged up obviously removes a ptentialy unconfortable element. keeping them around the 16-17 mark on the other hand puts them into a position of coming into their own and learning who they are, it becomes much more a coming of age story where their haveing to figure things out while dealing with things liek werewolf pack bs, vampire politics, and general outcast cultural difficulties

Would it be an awkward and bad idea to move Jericho and Nevermore to a different location, like, say, making it a coastal town? I'm working through several ideas that aren't really formed enough to talk about but part of it is this would give the Nevermore Sirens and Divina an actual pay and possible coves to inhabit and swim in

Basically, I've been working on my fanfiction, and I was just wondering what people would think about using generated images in the fanfic for fun. I would love to commission an artist, but that's a big sum of money. i ask because im a visual person and have always liked seeing viisuals of wahts on the page

So the short of it is I'm debating if I want Divina in my fanfiction to be a typical siren or if I want to have her siren form be eel-like. in the story, she's meant to kind of take Bianca's place as a rival for Wednesday that can meet her on the same level with the sword as well as having an interest in things like true crime, which seems to be a common fanon trait. or maybe even something else aquatic like an octupus or a shark

So it's pretty clear that most of the time the Addams can't truly harm each other in the long run. There's some kind of magic or innate nature to them that means no matter how they maim or "kill" each other, it's not permanent; it doesn't stick. So what I'm thinking is maybe this extends to guests in their home being under the same protection, or even this protection extending to anyone caught in the Adams chaos. Like with the stop sign incident, maybe no one is truly hurt, it's just damage and chaos. And maybe it's because the Addams don't intend harm with what they do, it's just chaotic fun and play. maybe for an addams to truly harm someone, they need to have the intennt in their heart to do harm

The background of my fic is Wednesday, started nevermore at the start of the school year instead of late and met Enid earlier, along with Divina and Yoko being a bigger presence in her early time there before the crack stone plot starts. I'm trying to come up with some interactions Wednesday might have with Enid, Divina, and Yoko that might stick with her and help break down her walls a bit. something she would remember. so i figured i would ask here for suggestions and ideas

Weird question that popped into my head while working on a fanfic idea, simply put, do you all think Wednesday would read Game of Thrones? and read enough of it to know the god of death quote

So basically, I was considering doing a polyamory fanfiction with Enid, Divina, Yoko, and Wednesday all being together. While working out ideas, I've come to a conundrum. Yoko's age? since shes a vampire and it was referenced that some of the vampires have been at Nevermore for decades im not sure if i should make her actualy 16-17 and have it so that born vampies age normaly till their in their 20s when they stop or if i should do something liek when their vampire nature arises their ageing slows so that their teen years last decades. On one hand, that would mean she's been around possibly longer than the other 3 girls added together. On the other hand, the longer time span would allow for more drama and allow me to have her live through cool things like the hippies and the rise of metal and grunge rock. So I figured i would come and ask for opinions
