Looking for a new pair of shoes

I'm very much a beginner to trail running, but absolutely fell in love with it after my first few races, and would like to get more into it, so I'm looking for a new pair of shoes, with some already in mind, and would like runners that are more experienced to give me some insight.

For context, I'm currently more of a road runner in races, with the occasional trail races I'm getting into, and mix it up plenty during training, though with little elevation because that's the type of terrain closest to me.

For road runs, I've always really enjoyed the feeling of carbon plates in general, so I took that into consideration when looking over trail shoes, even if I'm aware that it might be completely different. Right now, I've been using the Nike Pegasus Trail 5 for races and training, and sometimes even road running because I find them quite nice. The only issue I sometimes have is the shoes making the sides of my feet hurt if I lace them too tight, but it's easily fixable by loosing them a little.

Not sure if it's really relevant, but in case it is, for road running I use the Nike Pegasus 41 as daily runners, but I'm planning on switching those too, sometimes the Pegasus Trail 5 as mentioned, and the Kiprun KD900x.2 for races.

For my next purchase, I'm undecided between the Kiprun Kipsummit race, the Nike ultrafly, and the Nike ACG ultrafly trail, all of which I'm admittedly considering more because of the carbon plate, but also seem generally good, and the Kiprun Kipsummit Max, which doesn't have a carbon plate, but still apparently has high energy return, which I appreciate in shoes.

Clearly I have a tendency for specific brands, but it's not really a requirement at all, and I'm absolutely open to any other suggestions!

Also, sorry for the long post, I just wanted to make sure to be pretty specific overall.

TLDR: Begginer trail runner looking for a new pair of shoes, mainly for races. Undecided between Kiprun Kipsummit race, Nike ultrafly, Nike ACG ultrafly trail, and Kipsummit Max, but open to other suggestions.
