What is this??

Hi there.

We purchased this property in the UK (30 years old) and noticed the shower drain was a bit slow. So I decided today to use the plunger to see if there was any hair clog or something nasty.

But after 4/5 plunging strokes this ash flaky looking dust came from the drain... Not hair clog or anything nasty, and the drain is still slow.

Any ideas what it this and what would be the best action to fix the slow drain?

I wanted to share a positive experience to balance out some of the gloomier posts I’ve seen about YouFiber lately.
