A real Rum Runner at the bar that invented it - Tiki adjacent
Perhaps not Tiki in the classic sense, but I had plenty of fun weekends at the "World Famous" Tiki Bar in Islamorada since the 1980s. Wickliffe's book describes the bartender who invented the drink in the 1970s by pouring whatever he had left on his shelf together and voila we have the Rum Runner. I'm happy to report that, even though the bar has changed hands 100 times, they still made my drink by hand using every correct liqueur. It was perfect!
