About 17 months after first submitting my documents, I am a German citizen!

Many thanks to this group who helped me make sense of my family’s documents, and how to find them in the first place.

Applying from the USA:
October 2024 - submitted documents to the embassy
January 2025 - BVA received applications
April 2026 - notified my certificates were ready!

Now I wait another 6 weeks for the passports :)
