NVG options for Gallet LH050

NVG training is on the horizon for me, but as a 20 yr day VFR guy my current helmet is a single visor LH050 (and before that an LH250 with the outer visor removed).

Has anyone modified an LH050 to accept an NVG mount? I know Tiger Performance offers a mod, but they want you to send your helmet in which is gonna cost easily $300+ CDN each way, plus their cost, plus down time. And at that point I'm halfway to buying a new helmet.

Self-modding my current helmet would probably be the cheapest option but it sounds daunting and easily fuck upable.

Next option would be tracking down a used Canadian LH250 and dropping a couple grand on that...

Help with this rubber plug?

My mother's Nespresso Virtuo Next had this small rubber plug just sitting in the lid.

It looks like it interfaces with this hole in the lower portion of the lid with the small plastic pin. But it won't seat in there.

Then, I tried to install it by hand into the small rubber tube/peg that extends downward from the upper lid, but the tapered end also would not seat.

Lastly, in an attempt to figure out where it should go, it ended up slipping down into the case through the lower hole with the pin. Surgical extraction with tweezers has been unsuccessful so far...

The unit will act like it is brewing a cup, and then either nothing will happen, or the top button begins flashing red x2.

Do I have to figure out how to fully disassemble the case in order to retrieve the missing rubber piece?

Many thanks.

It's really hard to beat a Koala on a mountain top

I've done a lot of different things in 20 years of flying and while ultimately I decided heliskiing wasn't for me, this machine in this role was one of the best/most fun things I've ever done (on the good days).

It was also one of the worst/hardest/stressful flying jobs on the bad days.

Still, I'm gonna miss this Italian sports car... 😙👌
