Older AP-335 setup

So I'm setting up Home assistant and using an Aruba 48 PoE+ switch and 2 X AP-335. I'm a noob to this level of networking and can't find or access the WAPs on the network.

They power on and blink green for 10-15 minutes without going green.

I've reset them both, tried instant On App and Angry IP finder, but they just don't appear.

Clearly I'm doing something wrong, but I need a good educating.

PLS send help

Thanks 🙏

New home build & going full HA (PoE, Matter & Zigbee)

so, been lurking for a while and need to makes some decisions: your advise and experience is sorely needed.
New home build in Melbourne Australia. Single story Modern Japanese inspired design.
I have the following.

  • Aruba 48 PoE switch
  • 2 x Aruba WAP
  • ZBT-2 for Matter
  • Dell 9020 running dedicated HA
  • WD 4T Purple HDD
  • Ikea Grillplats
  • Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 dongle
  • Ability to run PoE to as many point as we want
  • 13kw Solar with 18kwh battery

What we would like.

  1. 3 x PoE cameras out side (none inside)
  2. 1x PoE doorbell
  3. 4 movement sensors inside
  4. integrated smoke alarms
  5. Power monitoring
  6. Automation as we pull in the driveway (long driveway)
  7. Above all, you experience and what you would do if building new

At this stage I'm wondering about the switch and setting it up.

Should I run HA PoE on a VLAN or have it all on the one base LAN? Should I disconnect HA and connected appliances from the WWW?

Undecided about switches and power outlets, will probably go Matter globes from Ikea.
For cameras and door bell I like the Reolink on PoE, but nothing purchased as yet.
I don't mind tinkering a few times a year but don't want to build a maintenance monster.
What would you run PoE or Matter or Zigbee?

Should I do a schematic and use it as a template?
What have I missed in sensors or add-ons?

Thanks for reading and would love your thoughts!
