Here, you can just log in, play at your own pace, and enjoy Legion without pressure, in a server that actually feels alive and taken care of.

If you're into solo progression, testing builds, or just experiencing Legion differently, you'll fit right in.

Hellgarve gathers people who enjoy the same thing: playing mostly solo, but not feeling alone.

A clean and stable experience

The server runs on a unique core that lets you experience the entire game… solo.

Mythic+? Yep, that works too.

There’s even an in-game NPC that allows you to tweak the difficulty however you want, scaling the system anywhere from 1% up to 150%.

Hellgarve is all about one thing: freedom. You decide how you want to play.

And if you ever feel like grouping up? No problem, the system automatically disables itself.

At the same time, the goal is to stay close to a Blizzlike feel:

— No GM commands

— No admin shortcuts

— Just normal progression, without weird boosts or hand-holding

Features

— XP Rates: Choose from x1 to x3, with double XP weekends.

— Artifacts: Questlines are fully working.

— Hardcore Mode: Completely optional if you want an extra challenge.

— Custom Content: Unique questlines, including a permanent morph spell reward.

— Economy & Profession Support: NPC boxes in Auction Houses to help with materials, and an Auction House supported by bots.

— Active Support: Active staff with quick help when needed, and an active developer backed by partners, ensuring regular changelogs and updates. Massive core update.

Expansions progress

— Vanilla: Mostly playable, some rough edges, a few zones are already very solid.

— TBC: Overall working well, still needs polishing in certain areas.

— WotLK: Largely stable, with Howling Fjord in particularly good shape.

— Cataclysm: Mixed, some parts good, others less so.

— MoP: Still needs work, but pet battles are fairly functional.

— WoD: Work in progress. The Alliance Garrison (Shadowmoon) is quite polished, Horde side is coming soon.

— Legion: In great shape. Class Halls and Artifacts are fully working, most dungeons/raids are functional, and zones are mostly stable (Val’sharah, Argus, and Legionfall are especially solid).

Note: You can also solo queue for dungeons and raids of all expansions, making it possible to experience content entirely on your own.

Staff & support

There's always someone around if you run into issues or have questions.

There’s even a dedicated NPC to help complete bugged or stuck quests if no GM is available at the moment. We’d rather get you unstuck quickly than have you waiting around.

Otherwise, you're free to just do your thing in-game.

CORE UPDATE (05/15/2026)

CORE UPDATE: A Legion server that bets on quality

Over the past few weeks, the Hellgarve development team has been working on a major core update. It is now LIVE.

More concretely, this involves upgrading parts of our database infrastructure, as well as modernizing the core code, its technologies, and dependencies. All of this will allow us to introduce new systems and fixes tailored to this new infrastructure. Because our ambition is to offer you the highest quality content possible.

🛠️ NEW FIXES (05/15/2026)

[Core update: Crash Fixes]

  • Shared damage – Resolved an issue where DealDamage would traverse the active shared-damage aura list while subsequent damage calls modified the aura state. It now processes a copy of the list and applies shared damage only after validating the aura data.

Some aura handling fixed (more to come):

  • Victim selection – Fixed a taunt-aura loop during creature victim selection that could persist after the original caster was gone. The process now operates within clear bounds and correctly skips invalid entries.
  • Battlegrounds and PvP – Fixed a server crash occurring when players left a Battleground while in combat. General instability caused by specific PvP interactions has also been resolved.
  • Decomposing aura (DK) – Fixed a bug in the target filtering logic where certain target types caused the filter loop to hang, potentially freezing the server thread.

[Core update: Overall changes and latest fixes]

  • Large update to Database server structure, encrypted communications packages and removing old core dependencies.
  • Core updated to be compiled in a much newer C++ version.
  • Website updates.
  • Many instances of bad aura handling uncovered as a result, now fixed.
  • Many instances of NPC behavior shown to be issues, now fixed.
  • Fixed some attacker/spell effect loops from changing data while in the middle of processing.
  • Fixed crash related to some faction checks.
  • NPC escort AI scripting fixed some bad checks on player/group distance.

[Core update: Mailbox Fix]

  • Fixed the issue with automated mails repeating indefinitely.

  • Fixed crash related to the social/friends system.
  • Added safer aura update handling to prevent invalid client aura updates and server crash.
  • Fixed crash related to a Wise Mari fountain bounds issue in Temple of the Jade Serpent.
  • Fixed crash related to harden aura cleanup and client updates.

[Core update: PvP]

  • Disabled Solocraft scaling in Battlegrounds and Arenas.
  • Fixed PvP talent loading for older saved data and improved talent reapplication after spec changes.

[Core update: Other / World Quests]

  • Improved delayed packet safety for Loss of Control updates.
  • Added a custom World Quest unlock fix for characters who already completed Uniting the Isles.
  • Improved World Quest refresh for online players.
  • Fixed the issue with automated mails repeating indefinitely.

🛠️ NEW FIXES (05/18/2026)

[Core update: Crash Fix]

  • Keep waypoint paths stable across reloads – Adjusted waypoint reload handling so active creatures do not keep references to waypoint paths that were erased and recreated during reload. This should prevent rare crashes when active grids keep NPCs moving while waypoint data is reloaded or refreshed.

[Core update: WQs/Gossip]

  • Refresh World Quest state for already-unlocked players – Adjusted the custom World Quest unlock handler so affected characters who already had the unlock completed now receive an immediate World Quest state refresh when that check runs, instead of remaining stuck until reconnection.
  • Fixed selection fallback – Corrected gossip selection fallback so script/AI-handled options are not accidentally passed through the default DB gossip path afterward.
  • Fixed NPC gossip menu state – Adjusted gossip menu initialization so scripted NPCs, including innkeepers and vendors, do not inherit stale or empty menu state from previous interactions. Fixed Solocraft Insurance Adjuster and Teleporter.

[Core update: The Black Temple]

  • Fixed Supremus door progression – Corrected progression so the main temple door after Supremus opens through the proper instance progression path.
  • Fixed Illidari Council loot credit – Adjusted Illidari Council event credit handling so the encounter correctly preserves loot eligibility and progression credit on the Council kill path. This also helps the scripted Council death flow keep player/group reward ownership instead of losing credit when the controller handles the final event state.
  • Fixed Illidan scripted death loot credit – Adjusted Illidan’s scripted death flow so player/group loot and kill credit are preserved before the encounter transitions into the final scripted death state. This covers damage coming from players, pets, or charmed units and prevents the final scripted handling from losing reward ownership.
  • Players can now loot Illidan and receive related achievement.
