Non-Strawberry Stool Softener Gummies?

Does anyone know of any stool softener gummies that don't contain natural strawberry flavoring (I'm allergic)? I'm supposed to take a stool softener daily. I've been using the Colace gel coated pills but recently for whatever reason I've been having trouble swallowing them.

Do I still need an upper GI endoscopy?

I previously posted about an ER visit I had and how I was put on a gastroparesis diet + referred to GI for further evaluation/endoscopy. I finally had my GI appointment/consultation today. I had to wait almost 2 months for it. My symptoms are early satiety, bloating, acid reflux, nausea, constipation, and occasional abdominal cramps which I’ve been experiencing since May. I’m currently taking Carafate 3 times a day.

The GI nurse practitioner suspects I have Gastoparesis based on my symptoms and ordered a gastric emptying test. She said if the test is negative then she’ll order an upper GI endoscopy. It sounded like if I test positive then I’ll be diagnosed with gastroparesis without having a scope done.

My mom (who was at the appointment with me) seemed pretty concerned that I wasn’t getting a scope done first in order to rule out ulcers, inflammation, or infection. Is this common procedure or do I really need to push to get that endoscopy if I end up testing positive for gastroparesis (and the nurse practitioner doesn't mention doing a scope)?

Been put on a Gastroparesis diet

I unfortunately had to go to the ER Sunday for symptoms I've been dealing with for the past couple of weeks. They put me on a Gastroparesis Diet while I wait for my GI appointment which is at the end of July. The ER doctor recommended me to eat 6-8 small meals a day. I'm only able to eat 2-3 a day which I've been doing since I first got sick. I'm not able to stomach boost or the other meal supplements. I also can't handle meat well atm. Is there anything I can add to my meals to improve my caloric intake and/or nutrients? Right now I've been eating saltine crackers, canned peaches, bananas, and potatoes. I also recently got non-dairy cream cheese, bread, and protein bars to try when I feel better.

Started developing digestive issues / what should I do?

(Sorry for the wall of text)

On may 26th, I started to have digestive issues. My stomach felt full all the time and I couldn't eat much. I also had nausea, bloating, and few bowel movements. A few days later, after eating small meals throughout the day, I wasn't bloating anymore and was able to eat a little bit more than before. However, on Sunday (31st), it seems to have returned back to when my symptoms first started minus the bloating. I can barely eat anything atm. Really just two "meals" a day. I've been feeling tired and weak lately because of the lack of food.

About 2 weeks ago I had a stomach bug that lasted 7 days. I felt normal a few days after that, and then I did overate because of the memorial holiday. Exactly the day after that, I had these symptoms. Idk if one of these or both contributed to my current sickness or not.

My acid reflux got bad (sore throat) so I went to a nurse practitioner, since my PCP wasn't available, yesterday (monday) and bought Pirlosec which I'm supposed to take for 2 weeks and I planned to take it starting tomorrow but I'm worried it might make me sick (nausea/vomiting) since my stomach has to be empty before taking the pill but obviously it seems like my stomach isn't emptying properly atm. Has anyone else had trouble with it?

My question here really is if I should just go ahead and take Pirlosec tomorrow or try to see my PCP as soon as possible and hope to get some blood work done and possibly some tests?? Or should I just do both??
