My ASH Theories:

Hello!

I’ve been giving Seven Havens a lot of thought, especially how the story might work out, and I have a few theories to throw into the ring!

The 300-Year Gap

At the end of her life, Korra was confronted with a crisis that threatened to destabilize both the Spirit World and the Physical World. To stop it, she used energybending to seal away this calamitous force. She entered the Avatar State and placed herself into stasis, holding the force back for 300 years.

Before doing so, Korra performed an incredible act of bending that moved the surviving remnants of humanity into small settlements known as havens. She maintained the seal until she eventually grew too weak and died, hidden from the world. After her death, the Avatar Spirit was reborn into Pavi.

Introducing the twins

Pavi’s mother is running away from one of the havens because she is an earthbender and does not want her twin children to be raised in an oppressive environment where benders are weaponized. She is eventually caught, and something terrible happens to her and Nisha. Pavi’s mother dies, and Nisha is so badly injured that she is on the verge of death.

This trauma triggers Pavi’s Avatar State, and she uses energybending to save Nisha. In doing so, Pavi gives part of her own spirit or soul to Nisha, allowing Raava to coexist within both of them. The White Lotus eventually catches up to the two girls, but Pavi remains hidden while Nisha is taken away, mistaken for the Avatar. Pavi lives on the streets, and has forgotten that she has a twin and is discovered by Jae. I feel like the big bad for both books will be the calamitous force and end with the merging of the Spirit and Physical world.

I don't think this series will be particular dark or traumatic, I feel like it'll be more light spirited like ATLA was with a focus on the relationship of these two girls navigating this new world, and while some during the era of Korra asked do we even still need an Avatar? ASH will prove that yes, the world still need it's Avatar, more than ever.

Happy to hear thoughts, vibes, heckling?
