My goal is 60 animal portraits this month. This is 1 and 2. I've been wanting to explore adding more color to my work. I think the colored pencil turned out well, but the alcohol marker feels like a big failure.

I looked at some youtube tutorials on how to work with alcohol markers, but it's so incredibly difficult?!

Any feedback on how to improve my use of color both with colored pencils or with the alcohol markers is very welcome.

I'm trying to keep practicing line weights because they never feel dynamic and interesting enough. In these two drawings, I used a fine tipped brush pen because I feel like doing an outline with the medium tip is too messy on a5 paper.

Any feedback on what I can do to make my lines a bit more dynamic would be very helpful.

Any and all feedback welcome on how to get better at my linework.

I've been feeling stuck. I'm hitting the proportions (I think), but doing anything subtle with my brush pen is very hard (details around the eyes, shading).

So! I tried to do a study of how other artists draw cat eyes in order to learn from that. I've tried to copy them as closely as possible (with the tools at hand (colored pencils and some black felt tipped brush pens)) and then I drew a full portrait myself.

The one with the big eyes (3d picture) was done last week, the grumpy one after the study (4th picture).

I'd very much like some feedback on what I can improve further and if anyone has tips on how to add some more shading or even color then I'd be greatly appreciative.
