This has been killing me.....for YEARS. When I was much younger I saw a movie that was fantastic and it's stuck out in my mind ever since although I can't remember the name. I've exhausted all resources in terms of finding it with AI. I would say it's a horror/thriller/suspense genre. It would have had to come out before 2010 for sure. Here's the plot - There has been a series of deaths and disappearences in a town. Mostly of young people I believe. Like some students. These people come back as one vengeful entity. The entity is covered in a black tar-like substance or red substance (will make sense shortly). The person they are particularly after for vengeance is an older individual, I believe an older woman although it's possible it's an older man. But I'm almost certain it was a woman. She was the one responsible for their deaths (I think she was letting her son kill them or maybe she did...could be wrong on that though). Meanwhile, the local police (sheriff I believe) are trying to figure out what's going on. Key scenes - I believe in the beginning there is a man that's found hanged in the woods, possibly. The *MOST IMPORTANT SCENE* I remember very clearly is when they finally figure out 'who' or 'what' this entity that's seeking vengeance is. Someone prints out a collage of all of the people's faces who had died and or disappeared and when you look at the collage from afar it creates the likeness of the naked man covered in the black liquid/red liquid that they saw. Now, this may be important because I have a vague memory of there being TWO entities....one covered in the red substance and one covered in the black substance and towards the end of the movie one of the entities kills the other. I could have made that portion up in my mind but now I'm not so sure. I also keep thinking that the title has the word 'hallow/hollow' in it, but I've looked and still couldn't find it. Any help would be appreciated greatly!!! And I apologise for such a lengthy description.
