How to connect lightweight bifacial 220W foldable solar panel outdoor *rainproof*?

Hi there!

Last year I bought a cheap used Ecoflow, old version, 400W foldable solar panel.
We got it for our ~1 week camping trips like festivals, put it flat on the roof of my VW T5 and secured it with screw-on heavy magnets.
It worked very well but my battery never went below 90% and also it was too bulky and heavy for easy handling.

So i sold it and got a new 220W lightweight foldable panel. It appears very nice, has much better stands and is much easier to handle.

Now i have to figure out whats the best way to connect it to my VIctron MPPT in my car.

With the old one i connected the MC4 connectors (Weatherproof), outside of the car, to a MC4 flatcable extension which i just put through the front door ( the flatcable would just be pressed against the door seal) and then into the MPPT (and from there into my built in LIFPO4 Battery)

But the new panels sadly have non waterproof XT60i connectors instead of MC4.

If i just put the panel cable through the door it would get pinched and likely damaged over time.
If i connect it outside to an XT60 extension flat cable, the connector it would be exposed to rain...
If i cut out the XT60i and mount MC4 and the cable it would likely kill the warranty.

Any suggestions on how to properly connect it?

[I dont quite get it, why build an IPX68panel and use non waterproof connectors...?]

Thank you!

edit: The reason i wanted to go with ecoflow is that its just ~5kg, which is really nice!
