Hi everyone, I’m considering getting my first EV and recently test drove both the EV5 and EV3 at my local dealership. The EV3 felt noticeably more responsive, whereas the EV5 came across a bit heavier.
My main concern with the EV3 is long-term durability. Outside of work at the hospital, I spend a lot of time visiting National Trust sites and other landmarks, and I also travel across the country for DJ work. So, I’m regularly on the motorway and covering long distances. As you know, British roads aren’t the best—potholes and uneven surfaces are fairly common.
Because of that, I’m unsure how well the EV3 would hold up over time. The EV5, on the other hand, felt more solid and significantly roomier, which I liked.
As this is my first EV, I’m still finding my feet when it comes to performance, comfort, and durability. For those who own or have driven either the EV3 or EV5, I’d really appreciate your thoughts—particularly on long-term durability, ride comfort, and suitability for frequent motorway driving.
