Mid drive this morning got a warning that driver assistance system was down. No clear reason as no camera or radar is obstructed. Clear weather, perfect conditions. Car could still drive otherwise.
Now I notice the app/servers are down for me too.
Anyone else has the same issue? Wondering if they are related (would be bad system design).
My Aunt started shopping last week for a smaller EV to replace her Rav4 Prime and I'm helping her out since I'm her primary caregiver. The EV3 is the top of the list because of the smaller size, but other options so far are the Toyota C-HR, Subaru Uncharted and Chevy Bolt.
I have an Ioniq 5 N myself and I've really enjoyed it, so I'm very interested in getting her to test drive an EV3 before deciding. Any word from anyone on when the cars will actually hit lots? Production started last week for the US models, and the configurator is up, so I'm hoping within a month or is that too hopeful?
The USA specs mention a drivers relaxation seat on the GT but make no mention of what it does. So anyone in another country who already has an upper line EV3, do you have it and what does it add? I really love the seats on my US Niro Wave EV. They are 8 way power, power lumbar, heated and ventilated on both sides up front with heated rear seats too. My wife and I both have rather bad back problems in our early 70's and find the seats some of the most comfortable we have ever had in that Niro. Are the EV3 seats really good too?
Guys, I have a question for you. My EV's long-range after 23,000 km driving shows 346 KM with an 80% charge. How is this possible? What should I do??
Started casting my mind ahead to 1st service today, looked in the glovebox, and discovered there’s no maintenance record book? I assume this is a mistake, rather than that there’s some magical e-system?
Has anyone had issues with the main drivers side windscreen wiper rubbing along when it’s in use ? I only got the car in April and it’s been doing it ever since.
Today I got replacements for both passenger and drivers side Bosch Aerotwin. It’s soo much better and smoother. Also looks like a better match to the car. For anyone replacing them yourself after the car is off. Turn the wiper stalk like it’s goin into a mist and it should raise both wipers for the wiper service mode
With the launch of the EV3 in North America soon, I am considering buying/leasing one. I currently own a 2019 Kia e-Niro. One question I have for EV3 drivers is range related. When I bought my Niro, the EPA range estimate was 239 miles, but when I would charge it to 100% it would show over 300 miles of range routinely in the warmer months. My real world driving gave me somewhat close to that range. Do any here EV3 owners get longer range estimates than what the EPA estimates are when you charge the vehicle?\

Prices range from $30-45K. Not bad, but the color choices are disappointing between white, gray, black, and light blue with the higher trims only getting the monotone colors.
the feature page on kia website says this but other sources say all USA trims
i suppose we will just have to wait to find out?
The US color choices are limited to shades of grey (I include white and black) plus one grey-ish blue on some trims. The least and most expensive trim levels offer just white, black, and dark grey.
In Canada, on all trim levels, there are 8 color choices, some of which are actually colorful! Of course, being Kia, they also get an extra grey.

Can somebody please tell me how I know how much to charge while I am at the fast charger? The route planner gives me the estimate, that I will arrive at the first charger with 29% but as soon as I plug in this row in the route planner disappears because I arrived at the destination.
Where do I find the information to charge to 77% while plugged in? If I do not check this information before plugging in I am totally lost how much to charge to, to arrive at the second charger with 20%.

I am in the USA and excited for the EV3. The land trim is the trim that I want (it has great upgrades and the range I want). The only negative is the basic 6 speaker sound system that lacks a subwoofer. I wish there was an extra package you could pay for this... but it's only in the GT and GT line. Has anyone that's owned an EV3 outside of the US (or possibly anyone with any other KIA EV) had a subwoofer (utilizing the existing speakers) professionally added? My main concern would be battery consumption (don't want to screw up the 12V). Also I plan to lease so I want something I can remove at lease end. Thanks!

Is it clear that the EV3 (current model/EU) will not be able to use AC bidirectional home chargers for V2H - meaning he needs a bidirectional charger with its own DC inverter?

I'm starting this thread to share the nightmare I'm experiencing with Kia Iberia's after-sales service and the official dealership Grupo Marcos Motor (Kia Torrevieja), in case it serves as a warning before trusting the brand's famous "7-year warranty."
My car is stuck at the shop due to the well-known ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit) defect. For those who don't know, it's a recurring manufacturing flaw in their EV/electrified vehicle platform that causes sudden power losses.
The severe issue isn't just the failure itself, but the complete lack of coverage and the constant "blame-shifting" between the dealership and the brand:
It is completely unacceptable for a brand that boasts about its warranty and electrification to leave you stranded like this, passing the blame between head office and the local franchise. The "7-year warranty" is useless if after-sales service revokes your mobility and leaves your car abandoned indefinitely due to a globally recognized factory issue.
If you're thinking about buying a Kia or need to use an official service center in the Alicante region, be very careful.
Is anyone else in a similar situation with the ICCU or Kia Iberia's customer service? Have you had to escalate through formal legal notices (burofax) or legal action to get a response?
