29 Orphan.. Looking to start a new family Hopefully with someone here
I don't exactly feel alone.
I have people around me. I work, I go out, I talk to people, I keep myself busy. Life is happening.
But somehow… I still kind of do.
Maybe it's because when the day ends and I come back home, the house is just… quiet.
And lately that empty house has started getting to me.
So I thought, maybe instead of pretending I don't want someone to come home to, I'll just say it.
I'm 29, originally from Uttar Pradesh and have been living in Gujarat for a long time. I work in sales & business development and have a commerce background.
My life is a little unconventional. I grew up away from my biological parents and have had a rather complicated relationship with the idea of family. Maybe that's also why I've always wanted to build one of my own someday not a perfect Instagram family, just a warm home where two people actually choose each other every day.
I'm ambitious and probably spend way too much time thinking about what I could build next. I'm into business, AI, technology, investing, movies, travelling, food, random internet rabbit holes and conversations that somehow start with one stupid question and end three hours later.
I like exploring new places, trying food, watching a good movie, learning completely unnecessary things and occasionally convincing myself that my next crazy idea is definitely going to work.
I'm not looking for someone to "complete" me. I'm quite capable of living my own life.
I'd just like someone to share it with.
Someone kind. Curious. Emotionally mature. Someone who can laugh at stupid things, communicate when things aren't perfect, and still wants to build something real.
Eventually, I'd like marriage and a family. But I don't want to interview someone for the position of "wife" over Reddit.
I'd rather meet a person first.
Talk. Laugh. Disagree over something ridiculously unimportant. Maybe discover that we actually enjoy talking to each other.
And then see where it goes.
I'm not expecting Reddit to magically introduce me to my future wife.
But if you're somewhere between "I'm perfectly happy alone" and "okay, having my person would actually be pretty nice"…
Maybe we should talk.
Tell me something about yourself that wouldn't make it onto a matrimonial profile.

Hello Anand!
So here is the scene: I recently moved back to my hometown, rented a great apartment near Janta Chowkdi, and quickly realized that making new friends in your late 20s while working US night shifts is basically an extreme sport. My social life currently consists of making brief eye contact with my Swiggy delivery guy at 2 AM.
It’s time to fix that. I am hosting a low-key house party/meetup this weekend at my place.
I have the rarest buff in Indian real estate: Zero neighbor kalesh. We can actually hang out, talk, and exist without society uncles knocking on the door.
The Vibe & Why You Should Actually Show Up:
I’m not talking about a messy, loud, chaotic club scene. I am talking about high-quality adulting. I have the rarest cheat code in Indian real estate: a rented apartment with absolutely zero nosy neighbors.
We are talking top-tier coffee (I brew a mean cup), maybe some Brooklyn 99 or Modern Family running in the background, and actual, unfiltered conversations. Whether you want to talk about building side-hustles, the stock market, surviving corporate burnout, or just trading completely unhinged life stories, this is the room for it.
The Anti-Creep Guarantee:
I want this to be a genuinely safe, fun space for everyone (men and women alike). No weirdos, no extreme rowdiness. Just good conversations, networking, sharing corporate trauma, and decent coffee.
How to RSVP:
Since I can't just drop my address on a public forum (again, protecting my own kidneys here), slide into my DMs or drop a comment below. Tell me a quick one-liner about yourself, your age, and your favorite sitcom or book, Or Hobby or anime and I'll share the details!
Let's make this weekend slightly less boring. Who's in?
If interested we can meet up on Saturday probably at evening?
