so if you've ever read "To Kill a Mockingbird" hi yeah i live about 30 minutes out from there.

i'm a rural AL junior w// no opportunity but i tried my best? we're all broke as hell here and there's little to no academic opportunity for me

demographics

white

female

low-income community

income bracket - full pay public school, financial aid for private

scores

ACT : 34

PSAT : 1330 i think idont remember

planning on retaking ACT and taking SAT

1st in class

graduating high school with an associates from a local college thanks to our DE program

i count for financial support at most private schools but not public schools! im also a first gen college attendee and a one income household

//

extracurriculars! in order of importance

scholar's bowl - national competitor for singles, varsity captain, top ten in my district

varsity tennis - player since middle school, ranked 1-4ish depends on how coach feels

Model UN - only went to one conference since it was its pilot year, i don't think there's a way to make it to state since our model un is localized to one school system and we just pile on

Mu Alpha Theta - member since 10th but no local competitions avaliable

National Science Honor Society

National Honor Society

National Art Honor Society - might be able to fool around with this more? i'm talking to a local museum abt a potential exhibit since they like local artists

HOSA - no state

Book Club - founded it for outreach to lower grades & helped kids build stronger friendships so they could survive highschool. i also make them read classical literature and talk critically about current events so they develop their frontal lobes

//

▲ 0 r/ACT

hi all again, i previously made a post abt GATech and if my score was good enough to be admitted, and from the comment that asked me if i was trolling, i think that means it is

i want to go to college for medical physics & need to know if my score would be good enough for stanford admittance

looking at their score calculator, i qualify for financial aid since my mother passed & we're a one income household from a rural environment

is my score + stats good enough for admittance?

can;t find a ss but i have a

32math

34sci

35eng

35read

10writ

for extracurriculars;

varsity tennis player

scholars bowl captain + competed nationally

HOSA (didnt make it to state; forgot to study, hopefully will sr year lmao)

graduating with an associates from a local college (im in hs), ill be on deans list

val

mu alpha theta, national sci hon, art hon, and honor society

founded a book club for outreach to lower level students

tutor part time

abt to get a job tutoring for the school

i cantremember everything so ill edit this later if i remember something else

just give me an estimate of what i can do if its not good enough, i'm in a rural AL school so theres not really any research or internship opportunities relevant to my field within a radius my father is okay with me travelling in (i also cant work on a nuclear site until im 18+ but i have somebody who works at a plant whos willing to orchestrate an internship for me)

this is my only form of advice since im broke and we dont have any student advisors and our counselors know nothing abt ivy leagues. help! thanks.
