Hello hello! I'm looking for 4-5 players to join a campaign! Join a grand quest to navigate a destroyed world, engaging in trials that will bring you close to the ultimate reward: ascending to Godhood in a world that no longer has them. It is inspired by the premise of The 39 Clues. Admittedly, I read The 39 Clues a decade ago and hardly remember anything besides the premise, but that's of no matter. It also takes elements from Alice in Borderland.
I have a passion for creative writing and especially the collaborative storytelling of TTRPGs. My best ideas come from totally unexpected player decisions, so I’m excited to see what shenanigans you get up to. Come get immersed in a lore-rich setting, build bonds with a handful of interesting and perhaps odd NPCs, face dilemmas where right and wrong begin to blur, and pave your own path through fire and blood!

Foreword 🐟
I do not tolerate any forms of bigotry at my (virtual) table. To my displeasure, some edgelords use the dark fantasy genre as an excuse to be generally terrible. Bad behavior will not be ignored or excused. I prioritize players being comfortable in my games, and if you are threatening that, you’ll be removed. Simple as that.
The World 🍂
Sometimes, a mirage of beauty echoes from the ruins of our past. It drifts through verdant fields of unharvested wheat. It's heard in the chips of birds, nestled in mossy towers. It's seen in the grand stone fortresses that only live at night. And in paintings that depict a time before the sky was stained red. But it is only a mirage, nothing more. As the sun sets, so too does the visage of our world's former glory.
Aylin was destroyed. The Celestial War desecrated the Heavens and Hells, but still, the deities' lust for blood was not satisfied. Their war ended on the Material Plane, killing 95% of the population in the process. Nobody knows what happened to the deities after that. Or why they fought. Only that the remnants of mankind had to rebuild in an utter hellscape if they hoped to survive.
Aylin was nearly uninhabitable. The atmosphere was deteriorating, most flora and fauna had been eradicated, and the world was rampant with storms and sickness. For unknown reasons, the Feywild and Shadowfell merged with the Material Plane. This made the land hospitable, yet far more dangerous than before.
Premise 🗡️
"Mankind was fated for ruin. Nobody can outpace their own destiny. Nobody can be what they are not meant to be. It doesn't matter how many platitudes people spit about hard work. An ordinary hound can never become a dire wolf, no matter how hard it tries. What's with that look? Don't agree? Then prove me wrong."
In this campaign, you'll embark on a cat-and-mouse chase with the Archfey who now rule, all to uncover the mysteries of the old world and ascend to Godhood. Everything holds a dark secret, one that only gets more sinister the more it is revealed.
Something unique about this campaign is that the fey that you're assigned to fight to obtain certain secrets, items, etc., are not always confronted through standard combat. Some fey will have to be defeated in 'games' to shake things up. Nothing too complicated, think something like capture the flag. I hope to give the players the opportunity for creative solutions and decision-making by not having every fey encounter culminate in a fight to the death.
What You Can Expect From Me 🔮
Character and story are the core of this game. Decisions will have consequences, whether positive or negative. Immersion through narration, ambience, rich worldbuilding, interesting NPCs, and atmosphere. There is a consistent bleakness from the post-apocalyptic setting, but that only makes the lighter moments more valuable. I love being dramatic. I have a soundtrack for the campaign composed of various game soundtracks. And you best believe I’ll play up those emotional moments.
What I’m Looking for in Players 🩸
People willing to invest themselves in the campaign. Some people are only interested in the combat, or prefer simple quests and don’t think about the story beyond, ‘we have to go recover this gemstone.’ Those are valid styles, but don’t fit well for my games. Create a character willing to cooperate with the party. Let others have the spotlight sometimes. Engaging with fellow player characters, the world and its inhabitants, and driving the narrative forward. And of course, with your own character and their development. As a bonus, I would love to form a tight-knit table that can be friends even outside of the game!
Application 📜
Application is such a formal way of saying this. Almost makes it feel like a… j… j… jo… I can’t bring myself to say it. But keep in mind, I’m not searching for the mythical best players, just the players who best fit with me and one another. Don’t feel like you have to write a lot or impress me! A few questions are geared towards experienced players, but newbies are welcome too! It’s my first time using Foundry, so we’ll both be learning something.

Thank you to everyone who reads this far and applies! If you have questions, leave a post comment. It may take a few days for me to send out requests since I’m looking for the best match, not just the first people to apply. If the post isn’t labeled as closed, feel free to apply!
